Many questions; few answers

In his April 3 letter, Gorman Gray encourages us to “Consider God’s intention” regarding marriage. Fair enough, but in the interest of clarification, I would ask: Specifically which “God’s” intentions should we consider? And which specific church or religion worships this specific god? And which specific part of the Constitution states that this specific church or religion, which worships this specific god, is allowed to oversee and approve the laws of this nation? It is unclear if he refers to a Greek god, a Norse god, Indian god, a Native American god, or just his god. I was taught that we have freedom of religion in the U.S., which does not allow any one religion — or the intentions of any particular God — to control us.
