Clark County — The YWCA Clark County is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate volunteers.

You can learn about the wide variety of volunteer opportunities available and meet YWCA staff and current volunteers at an open house on May 2. No reservations are needed.

The Y supports and advocates for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse and neglect; it represents abused and neglected children in the court system as well as those who are growing up and aging out of foster care; it encourages women who are incarcerated or emerging from jail; and it operates a preschool classroom. Male and bilingual/bicultural volunteers are especially needed.

The YWCA’s volunteer open house is set for 6-7:30 p.m. at the YWCA Clark County Community Room, 3609 Main Street in Vancouver. For more information, visit http://ywcaclarkcounty.com or contact Stephanie Barr, director of volunteer development, at 360-906-9112 or sbarr@ywcaclarkcounty.org.
