FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas baseball coach Dave Van Horn has kicked pitcher Thomas Altimont off the team following his arrest for kidnapping and assault.
Altimont was arrested Friday on allegations that he held a woman against her will and assaulted her. Police say Altimont was arrested by officers responding to a domestic disturbance call.
Altimont is a junior right-hander who transferred to UA from McClennan Community College. He was 1-0 in five appearances this season.
Van Horn announced the move Monday.
