Letter: We need a tunnel, not a bridge

Regarding the Columbia River Crossing project: Why don’t we wait until Seattle finishes using its new tunneling machine to dig the new section of Highway 99 replacing the Alaskan Way Viaduct and use it to dig a tunnel for the CRC instead of building an unsightly, overwhelming bridge?
