CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina’s James Michael McAdoo says he’s returning for his junior season instead of entering the NBA draft.

In a statement from the school Tuesday night, the 6-foot-9 forward says he wants to eventually play in the NBA but “right now I want to truly enjoy college life.”

McAdoo was projected as potentially high NBA first-round draft pick after last year and was projected as a first-rounder again this year. He was second on the team in scoring at 14.4 points and averaged a team-best 7.3 rebounds.

McAdoo’s decision came on the same day that junior guard Reggie Bullock said he would skip his final season and enter the NBA draft.

They helped UNC (25-11) reach the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament final and the third round of the NCAA tournament.
