Pets of the Week: Humane Society for Southwest Washington

Cocoa Bean is a perky, super nice 8-year-old chocolate Labrador mix. She gets really excited about going for walks or playing ball and knows basic commands. She would do well with a male dog and kids older than 14, but not cats. She needs a yard with 6-foot wood fence to keep her safe. Cocoa Bean is in a foster home; contact tzimmerman@southwesthumane.org to schedule a time to meet her.

Daisy Petal is a 3-year-old, spayed tabby. She came to our shelter when her previous owners felt she needed a new home. She seemed discontent and was being destructive. We’re hoping she’ll find a new home where she’s happier. Bring your kids in to meet her before adopting, and plan to keep her primarily indoors and with routine grooming to help her manage her longer coat. Ask to meet this girl today!

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. The Humane Society is closed to the public on Mondays. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
