A registered sex offender who poses a risk to reoffend was recently released from prison and has moved to Ridgefield, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Gerald William Johnson, 48, now lives at McCuddy’s Ridgefield Marina on West Mill Street.

He is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 250 pounds, and has brown hair and hazel eyes. He is not wanted by police at this time.

In July of 1991, Johnson pleaded guilty to picking up a 12-year-old girl, stealing her money and using it to pay for two nights at a motel, and sexually assaulting her.

In 2004, Johnson pleaded guilty to communicating with a minor for immoral purposes after he sexually molested a 4-year-old girl.

Three years later, Johnson was found guilty of second-degree child molestation of a 12-year-old girl on several occasions over two years.

He is being monitored by the Washington State Department of Corrections, the Ridgefield Police Department and the Clark County Sex Offender Registration Unit.
