LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Klaus Graf and Lucas Luhr won for the third straight year at Long Beach on Saturday, cruising to their first American Le Mans Series victory of the year for Muscle Milk Pickett Racing.
Graf beat Rebellion Racing’s Nick Heidfeld by 36.329 seconds in the P1 class.
Luhr started the race third in class and dropped to the middle of the pack during a caution-filled stretch. Graf battled back through the field and took lead for good in the No. 6 Honda Performance Development prototype with 47 minutes remaining.
