ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — Reggie McKenzie finally gets the chance to show if he can do a better job rebuilding the Oakland Raiders with a premium draft pick than late owner Al Davis did in his final years running the team.

After sitting out almost the entire first two days of his initial draft as Raiders general manager, McKenzie will get an early chance to add a difference maker that has been lacking in Oakland in recent years with the third pick in Thursday’s draft.

Oakland has a first-round pick for the first time in three years because of trades. The Raiders have many needs to fill starting at pass rusher, offensive line, receiver and cornerback.
