Letter: Obamacare is outrageous

The Columbian
Published: April 24, 2013, 5:00pm

The April 19 story, “Health care benefit to apply to many in county,” about Obamacare caught my eye. As I read it, my blood pressure continued to rise. The one figure that slammed me in my eyes was that, through Obamacare, a couple with two children can make up to $94,200 per year and still receive tax credits toward their insurance premiums. That’s $7,850 per month. What? Making this amount of money and they cannot afford to pay for their own insurance premiums? The tip of Obamacare has just surfaced. This is outrageous, and it will get worse.
