Letter: Problem-solver identified

The Columbian
Published: April 24, 2013, 5:00pm

In the April 18 News Tribune story, “Phone companies no longer have to print directories,” the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission is credited with saying that such a move would remove 300 tons of paper while reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 4,000 tons annually. If this group can actually get 4,000 tons of carbon dioxide from 300 tons of paper, it should immediately be put to work on other climate-control problems.
