COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Two-time U.S. figure skating champion Ashley Wagner is looking for a second coach to accompany her to events, now that John Nicks is no longer interested in traveling.

The 84-year-old Nicks told Wagner on Wednesday that he won’t travel to competitions anymore, a decision the skater says she understands. She’ll continue training with Nicks in Orange County, Calif., but said in a statement Thursday that she’ll find an additional coach who can work with her at competitions. Her choreographer, Phillip Mills, had traveled with her the last two years, but the two recently split.

Wagner says she and Nicks have agreed that she’ll take the next three weeks to find an additional coach.
