They call me Shilo, and my shelter friends have shown me how to open my heart. Yeah, I’m kind of shy and not quite sure why I should trust people, but I got a taste of love and good, and I realized there was some life for me yet. So how about it … can you help a guy who wants to be loved find a forever home?

I once lived with five brothers and oh, boy, that’s enough to make anyone sassy. So, that’s what they’ve called me, Sassy. I’m a friendly, 6-year-old girl who is learning to embrace my own emerging personality. I enjoy quietly contemplating life and the wonders of everything around me. Do you have a place in your heart for me?

These pets are among those available for adoption from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Sunday (or by appointment) at West Columbia Gorge Humane Society, 2675 S. Index St., Washougal. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations and flea treatment. Email outreach@wcghs.org or call 360-335-0941.
