Former University of Idaho punter Bobby Cowan signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent, the Idaho Press-Tribune of Nampa reported Sunday.
The Evergreen High School graduate had 70 punts last season for an average of 43.1 yards and had 20 punts of at least 50 yards, landing 13 inside the 20-yard line.
Shane Lechler, Oakland’s punter for the past 13 seasons, signed a free-agent contract with Houston in March.
