Letter: Madore dismisses research

The Columbian
Published: April 29, 2013, 5:00pm

Thank you to The Columbian for “The Big DiVide,” your informative series on the Columbia River Crossing.

In the April 14 story. “CRC Fallout,” Commissioner David Madore’s quote, “Let Portland be weird. That’s OK … Just not over here,” and his admission that he’d scarcely read the admittedly bulky growth plan by the Columbia River Economic Development Council, pretty much sums up the opposition to the CRC.

In other words, don’t bother me with the facts; my fear of urbanization trumps all.

Sad.
