TAHOLAH — The annual tribal canoe event in Washington waters is reaching its conclusion Thursday as more than 60 canoes arrive at Point Grenville, on the Quinault Indian Reservation about 20 miles north of Ocean Shores.

The Quinault tribe will host visitors for a week of celebrations.

The first event in 1989 was the Paddle to Seattle. Canoes have been visiting tribal points along Puget Sound and the coast this summer on this year’s Paddle to Quinault.
