Two school districts Thursday announced they’ll offer all-day kindergarten for the 2013-14 school year.
The Woodland School District said it will have all-day kindergarten five days a week at Yale and Woodland Primary School beginning this fall.
The Hockinson School District will offer a choice of full-time or part-time kindergarten in the coming school year. The school board unanimously approved the move Wednesday at a meeting. The decision was made though the district doesn’t expect to receive designated state funding for full-day kindergarten for several years.
The Legislature intends for all schools to offer all-day kindergarten in four years.
