Letter: Allow access for all to health care

I was extremely pleased to read that Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, gave birth to a daughter after a diagnosis of Potter’s syndrome, which is thought to always be fatal. The congresswoman, who is the recipient of taxpayer funded health care options, went to extraordinary medical measures to deliver a “miracle” baby. Yet the congresswoman voted again and again, dozens of times, to repeal the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

Apparently, if you are poor and uninsured, tough luck, but if you are in Congress and have access to one of the best health care plans in the world, good for you.

I hope baby Abigail Rose grows up to be a strong, healthy and compassionate woman. And a Democrat.
