ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — The Detroit Lions released wide receiver Devin Thomas and linebacker Alex Elkins and have signed defensive back Brandon King.

The team announced the moves Monday.

King spent the 2010 and 2011 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, appearing in eight games.

Thomas joined the Lions in January 2013 as a free agent. A second-round draft pick by the Washington Redskins out of Michigan State in 2008, Thomas has played in 55 career games with the Redskins, New York Giants and Carolina Panthers.
