County seeks volunteer for health council position

The Clark County Commissioners are seeking applicants to fill an open position on the Public Health Advisory Council.

The position must be filled by a representative from a local social or human services agency. The council meets 6 to 8 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month at the Center for Community Health, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd.

The council is the link between the commissioners in their capacity as the county board of health and the community. The council provides a local focus on public health, identifies community health needs, sets priorities and makes recommendations to enhance the health of the community.

Applicants must submit a resume and/or a letter of interest to Jennifer Clark, Board of Health, Commissioners’ Office, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA. 98666-5000.

Applications can also be submitted by email to jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov or by fax to 360-397-6058.

The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Sept. 10.
