PHILADELPHIA — Officials say an investigation into a bomb threat made in connection with a trans-Atlantic flight that landed in Philadelphia has turned up nothing suspicious.

US Airways Flight 777 from Shannon, Ireland, landed in an isolated part of Philadelphia International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.

Philadelphia police Chief Inspector Joe Sullivan says a telephone threat about a bomb was made about the plane before it landed.

The flight’s 171 passengers and eight crew members exited the Boeing 757 via staircases and were taken to waiting buses.

Airport officials say nothing was found and the plane and passengers have been given the all-clear.

The FBI says it’s working to find out who called in the threat. Investigators say the caller could face serious charges.
