CHICAGO (AP) — Alex Rios was in the Chicago White Sox’s lineup amid reports that he’s been claimed off revocable waivers by the Texas Rangers.

He was penciled in to bat third and start in right field in the first game of a day-night doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins on Friday, a day after reports surfaced that the Rangers had claimed him. Rios declined comment, but manager Robin Ventura said “we’ll find out at some period of time” and that it’s “not guaranteed that Alex is leaving.”

The White Sox scratched left fielder Dayan Viciedo from the lineup for Friday’s first game. Alejandro De Aza moved from center to left and Jordan Danks started in center.

Chicago purchased the contract of left-handed pitcher Charlie Leesman and recalling outfielder Blake Tekotte from Charlotte.
