The Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded to two fatalities Sunday morning: a motorcycle crash and a reported accidental shooting

Brian Abbott, 46, of Clark County died after the 2007 Harley-Davidson he was riding left the road in the 27400 block of Northeast Hatheway Road and struck a parked vehicle, said Sgt. Duncan Hoss. A newspaper delivery employee reported the crash at 6:15 a.m., Hoss said.

The crash site is northeast of Camas.

Abbott was pronounced dead at the scene, Hoss said.

Hoss said the time of the crash was not known. Anyone with information about the collision is asked to call the sheriff’s office traffic investigators.

Yacolt Falls death

In the accidental shooting, Benjamin White, 26 of Yacolt died at Yacolt Falls.

At 10:15 a.m., 911 received a call from a woman who said her boyfriend slipped and accidentally shot himself at the falls.

Sheriff’s deputies and members of North Country EMS responded to the scene and found the man dead.

Members of the Volcano Rescue Team were brought in to assist in what was a very technical rescue, Hoss said.
