NEW YORK (AP) — Erick Aybar has left the Los Angeles Angels’ game against the New York Yankees in the third inning because of a cramp in his left calf.

Aybar grounded out to Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia to end the top of the third Tuesday night and did not come out to play shortstop for the bottom half. The Angels say Aybar is day to day.

Tommy Field moved from second base to short and Grant Green entered at second base.

Los Angeles is already playing without injured first baseman Albert Pujols and second baseman Howie Kendrick.
