ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Center fielder Peter Bourjos has been reinstated from the Los Angeles Angels’ 15-day disabled list, and shortstop Tommy Field has been optioned to the minors.

The Angels announced the moves Friday before opening a weekend series against the Houston Astros.

Bourjos has missed 39 games with a broken right wrist after getting hurt June 29 against Houston. He was in the Angels’ starting lineup Friday night, playing center field and batting ninth.

Bourjos has spent two long stints on the disabled list this season, sidelining him for most of his first year as the Angels’ starting center fielder. He also missed 38 games from April 30 to June 10 with a strained hamstring.

Field has two hits in 10 games with the Angels this season.
