Letter: CRC should no longer be priority

The Columbian
Published: August 17, 2013, 5:00pm

I read the Aug. 13 story “Vancouver can’t afford to tend streets” about the city of Vancouver not, and allow me to emphasize, not being able to afford improvements and maintenance of the streets of Vancouver. Yet, somehow, the anointed leaders of the city and county, after millions of our dollars have been wasted on the now-failed Columbia River Crossing project, can, miraculously and suddenly, now afford gazillions of more dollars on the CRC. We can’t maintain the streets, but we can afford this political boondoggle.

Is it just me? Or does this “new math” not add up?
