A smoothie and juice bar will soon open at 1887 Main, in downtown Washougal.

Ginger Juice is expected to open in late September.

Prior to that, there will be a “taste testing” event Thursday, Aug. 22, at 6:30 p.m., at Camas Friends Church, 1004 N.E. Fourth Ave.

It will include samples, prizes, questionnaires, coupons and additional information about the new business. The event is free and open to the public.

Ginger Juice will host open mic nights for music and poetry, artwork exchanges, guest lectures, speed dating, trivia nights and bingo. It will serve fruit and vegetable juices, smoothies, salads, snacks, baked goods, sorbets and frozen Greek yogurt.

The new business is owned by Krissy Goecks, a 1997 Camas High School graduate.
