Awards will honor people with disabilities

Nominations are being accepted

The Clark County Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board, in partnership with the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce and New Seasons Market, is accepting nominations until 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, for the National Disability Employment Awareness Community Awards.

The Clark County Community Awards honor the role people with developmental disabilities play in achieving a dynamic, productive workforce and recognize the leadership of the business community.

Categories include private employer, public employer, employee with a developmental/intellectual disability and the Dennis Campbell Outstanding Service Award, which will recognize someone for outstanding service to improving the lives of individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities.

Nomination forms are available at www.clark.wa.gov/dev-disabilities/index.html.

Award recipients will be honored during an event on Oct. 9.
