FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas coach Bret Bielema knows the Razorbacks have plenty to prove this season at wide receiver.

The Razorbacks, who have fielded one of the nation’s top groups at the position the last two seasons, are expected to open with a receivers who accounted for 50 of the team’s 272 catches last season.

The lack of experience is the result of losing four receivers to the NFL over the last two seasons, as well as the transfer of Mekale McKay and injuries to others.

Seniors Julian Horton and Javontee Herndon enter this season as Arkansas’ top receiving threats. The two combined for 35 catches for 497 yards last season.

The Razorbacks open their season on Aug. 31 by hosting Louisiana-Lafayette.
