Elks Foundation shares the wealth

Battle Ground — The Battle Ground Elks Lodge 2589 gave a flurry of donations recently after it received a $2,000 “Gratitude Grant” from the Elks National Foundation. The foundation gives money awards to Elks lodges to help them boost programs and other needs in their communities. Groups benefitting from the grant include:

• $500 — Battle Ground Police Department’s K-9 Unit

• $500 — Battle Ground Fire Department’s Cadet Program

• $200 — Options 360

• $200 — Meals on Wheels People

• $200 — North County Community Food Bank

• $200 — Soldiers’ Angels of Southwest Washington
