Brush Prairie — Christopher Jastrem used to play football for Prairie High School — but he switched to drama at the end of his junior year. After he graduated in June 2011, Jastrem “packed his car and left to make it big in L.A. as an actor/model,” reports his mom, Diane Castle. But because even tiny studio apartments start at $1,000 a month in Los Angeles, she said, he has been living in his car for nearly two years now. “He belongs to the Y where he goes every day to work out and shower,” she said. His patience and persistence paid off at last, she said, with a key role on episode 11 of season 2 of the TNT series “Major Crimes.” The show aired Aug. 19. Jastrem’s stage name is Christopher Dean.
