The Columbia River Economic Development Council has hired Kimberly Pincheira as manager of investor relations, the nonprofit jobs promoter and business recruiter said Wednesday.

For the last three years, Pincheira served as the district director for Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash. Before that, she served in a similar capacity for Brian Baird, the Democratic former congressman representing Southwest Washington.

“We’re happy to bring Kimberly on board with the CREDC,” Bill Dudley, the CREDC’s board chairman, said in a news release. “She brings a wealth of relationships and experience with local businesses and governments, which will be important to our organization.”

Pincheira will succeed Diane Dempcy, who is moving on to other opportunities in the nonprofit sector. She will begin her new job Sept. 3.
