A three-vehicle crash on Interstate 205 southbound sent at least two people to hospitals Sunday evening, said Trooper Will Finn of the Washington State Patrol.

Details were incomplete and names were not available.

Here is what happened, Finn said:

Shortly before 5 p.m., a trooper stopped a southbound driver on I-205 just north of 134th Street for suspicion of DUI.

While on that call, the trooper saw three cars collide on I-205 near 134th Street at 4:59 p.m.

One vehicle burst into flames.

Both lanes at that spot on I-205 were blocked for more than an hour. Cars were allowed to use the freeway shoulder.

The lanes were opened at 6:06 p.m.

Finn said the troopers who investigated did not file a report and that he would provide more information Monday morning.

All three vehicles were towed. No specifics on the injuries were available.
