PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Diamondbacks have activated catcher Miguel Montero and third baseman Eric Chavez from the disabled list.
Montero has been sidelined since July 29 with a lower back strain. Chavez has been out since Aug. 10 with a left knee strain, his second stint on the 15-day DL this season.
To make room, the Diamondbacks optioned third baseman Matt Davidson and catcher Tuffy Gosewisch to Triple-A Reno before Monday night’s game against San Diego.
