Letter: Thanks for caregiver support

On behalf of the Area Agency on Aging and Disabilities of Southwest Washington and the Family Caregiver Support Program, it is with deep appreciation that we recognize and thank The Community Foundation for SW Washington and the Butler Endowment Fund for their continued support and the generous grant award in the amount of $7,425.50.

The grant enables us to provide an additional 425 hours of respite care to local families. Respite care offers family caregivers a much-needed break. The Butler Endowment Fund helps us make a meaningful impact to family caregivers’ lives. Your support helps a wife caring for husband attend her granddaughter’s wedding, a husband caring for his wife have peace of mind while he undergoes heart surgery, a daughter know her dad is cared for while she attends her son’s graduation, and a son make sure his mom’s personal care needs are met in a way that still honors her dignity.

Thank you for partnering with us to better assist our local families coping with Alzheimer’s and assuring them they are not alone as they navigate their caregiving journeys.
