A Vancouver man was cited after a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening in Brush Prairie that sent four people to the hospital.

Jacob Elliott, 42, was driving a 1994 Saab west on Northeast 119th Street when his car went through a red light and struck a 2008 Toyota Rav4 that was traveling south on Northeast 152nd Avenue, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. The crash was reported at 4:24 p.m.

Elliott and the driver of the Rav4, Sandra Sparks, 51, of Vancouver, along with a passenger in each vehicle were transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with injuries described as not life threatening.

The sheriff’s office did not have the names of the passengers immediately available.

Elliot was cited for failing to obey a traffic control device.
