Clark County sheriff’s investigators are seeking information about a possible armed robbery just before 2 p.m. Saturday in Orchards Park.

A woman reported that a man pointed something at the back of her head and demanded her iPhone and iPad, while she was taking a smoke break in the park, 9800 N.E. 54th St., according to emergency radio traffic. She reportedly told 911 dispatchers that the suspect, attired in a black shirt and black pants, fled south through the park.

When sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene, the woman’s story changed, said sheriff’s Sgt. K.C. Kasberg.

“It was kind of a fishy story,” Kasberg said. “The fact that she’s missing an iPhone and iPad are true, but the circumstances under which it happened are still unclear.”

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the allegations, Kasberg said, and ask that anyone with information on the crime call 911.
