HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — The Pennsylvania attorney general’s office has filed papers detailing the lies it says former Penn State President Graham Spanier (SPAN’-yer) told during his grand jury testimony over the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse case.

The Centre Daily Times (http://bit.ly/1cK0kaU ) reports that the papers were filed Friday. The allegations in the prosecutors’ itemized list aren’t new, but the specifics were listed to answer Spanier’s request this fall for details of the charges.

In one example, Attorney General Kathleen Kane’s attorneys say Spanier was asked in April 2011 whether university officials discussed filing a police report over a 2001 shower encounter witnessed by former assistant football coach Mike McQueary, and Spanier said no. But emails discovered later appear to show a discussion about whether to report it.

Spanier has maintained his innocence.
