VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) — Brandon Bos scored 15 points, including four free throws in the last 11 seconds, to lead South Dakota past Utah Valley 71-67 Monday night.
Bos scored eight of his 15 points in the last 3:03 of the contest. Tyler Larson added 12 points on 5 of 8 shooting for South Dakota (3-3), while Tyler Flack chipped in 10 points.
Ben Aird, with 18 points, led three players in double figures for Utah Valley (2-5).
Zach Nelson added 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Wolverines, while Holton Hunsaker was good for 15 points, including three 3-pointers.
South Dakota trailed by seven with 4:38 remaining after a Hunsaker jumper. But a 12-0 run gave the Coyotes a 5-point lead with 11 seconds left. Hunsaker drilled a trey to put it back to two, but a pair of Bos free throws iced it for South Dakota.
