NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Want to get an Oklahoma football player riled up? Suggest the Sooners are playing spoilers this Saturday against Oklahoma State.
No. 18 Oklahoma (9-2, 6-2 Big 12) owns a lopsided 82-18-7 advantage in the Bedlam series and the Sooners have beaten No. 6 Oklahoma State (10-1, 7-1) in nine of the 10 last years.
An Oklahoma State win would clinch a share of the conference title and send the Cowboys to a Bowl Championship Series game for the second time in three seasons.
Oklahoma center Gabe Ikard thinks even suggesting the Sooners could be a spoiler against Oklahoma State is ridiculous.
Ikard says “we’re still Oklahoma and we’ve done a lot of special things around here for a long time.”
