Air Force Junior ROTC drill teams take top at divisional

Battle Ground — The unarmed and armed drill teams of Battle Ground High School’s Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps won first place during the Northwest Drill and Rifle Columbia River Division competition. It’s the first time either team has ranked highest in the divisional, held this year on Nov. 16 in Oregon City, Ore. The Unarmed Drill Team was commanded by junior Trey Bardonski; junior Ryan Williamson led the Armed Drill Team.

The school’s AFJROTC also placed with a number of other awards for its Sporter and Precision Air Rifle Teams, Color Guard #2, Strength Team and Dual Armed Drill Team.
