GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Richard Pack scored 15 points and Lamont Middleton added 14 as North Carolina A&T edged Wright State 62-59 on Thursday night.

Bryan Akinkugbe hit two free throws with 1:36 remaining to give North Carolina A&T (3-5) a 60-59 lead. Wright State (5-5) then failed to score on its ensuing three possessions, missing a layup and committing two turnovers.

With North Carolina A&T leading 61-59 and 14 seconds left, Jerome Simmons had an opportunity to make it a two-possession game from the free throw line. But Simmons made just 1 of 2 for the Aggies, who were just 15-of-27 from the line. AJ Pacher and Kendall Griffin then each missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer in the waning seconds for Wright State.

Akinkugbe had 12 points for North Carolina A&T and Jeremy Underwood added 10.

Matt Vest led Wright State with 15 points.
