Geno getting help as Kerley set to return for Jets

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets wide receiver Jeremy Kerley will make his return after missing three games with a dislocated elbow, giving struggling Geno Smith one of his key targets on offense.

Fellow receiver Santonio Holmes (hamstring) and tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. (knee) will also play Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. That will mark the first time since Week 4 that the Jets will have all three playmakers together.

Coach Rex Ryan says having the trio makes “a huge difference” and could help the Jets (5-7) get a better idea of what they have in Smith. The rookie has just one touchdown pass and 11 interceptions in his last seven games.

Ryan says “judge us moving forward” now that key players on offense are healthy for the first time in weeks.
