ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — The Oakland Raiders have promoted defensive backs Chance Casey and Shelton Johnson and linebacker Marshall McFadden from the practice squad to the active roster.

The Raiders placed linebacker Kaluka Maiava and safety Usama Young on injured reserve and waived defensive lineman Brian Sanford on Saturday to make room on the 53-man roster.

Casey and Johnson joined Oakland as undrafted free agents in the spring and have been on the practice squad all season. McFadden was signed to the practice squad after being waived by Pittsburgh at the end of training camp.
