One person was hospitalized after a three-car accident Friday night just north of the Vancouver city limits.

Two cars — a 2000 Toyota Corolla and a 1995 Jeep Wrangler — were stopped on state Route 503 at Northeast 71st Street. According to the Washington State Patrol, a 2001 Mitsubishi Diamante driven by Lance R. Ebert, 37, Vancouver, hit the rear of the Toyota. The impact shoved the Toyota into the rear of the Jeep.

A passenger in the Toyota Corolla was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. The nature of her injuries was not reported.

Ebert was cited for following too close, according to the Washington State Patrol report.
