Boys basketball: Toledo 45, La Center 44

A big third quarter helped the Indians hand the visiting Wildcats their first loss.

Toledo outscored La Center 18-7 in the third period of the Trico League game to build a seven-point lead, and the Wildcats never regained a lead.

La Center had a chance to win at the buzzer, but a shot and several tip-in attempts failed to fall.

Will Rice scored 13 points and Brody Seter 12 for the Wildcats, who were outscored 10-2 from the foul line. Forrest Wallace led Toledo with 17 points.
