Motorist trapped upside-down when SUV slides off icy road

A motorist was unhurt but trapped upside-down in her SUV after the vehicle went off an icy road east of Battle Ground on Tuesday morning.

The crash was reported at 10:05 a.m. in the 18500 block of Northeast Risto Road, according to a bulletin from Clark County Fire District 3.

Crews arriving on scene found that a Toyota 4Runner had slid off the road, down an embankment and overturned. The driver was trapped inside, confined by her seat belt.

The driver, whose name was not released, was not injured, the bulletin said.
