Fordham comes back to beat Colgate 77-73

HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) — A Travion Leonard layup with 46 seconds remaining tied the score and Fordham made five layups to take the lead and hold off Colgate for a 77-73 victory Tuesday night.

Colgate (4-4) had a 60-52 lead with 8:57 remaining. The Rams (5-3) went on an 18-10 run to tie the score at 70 on Leonard’s layup. Fordham finished on four layups by Mandell Thomas, two by Bryan Smith and one by Branden Frazier.

Frazier led the Rams with 27 points and Thomas contributed 18.

The Rams, who made 23 of 27 free throws, won it at the charity stripe as Colgate made only 7 of 12 free throws.

Colgate took at 26-14 lead midway of the first period when Matt McMullen hit a 3-point jumper. The Raiders held a 41-34 advantage at the half.

Austin Tillotson, who had 18 points, led the Raiders. Ethan Jacobs added 14.
