San Diego cruises past NAIA Ind. Pacifica 84-47

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Dennis Kramer scored 21 points, on 9-of-12 shooting, and grabbed 13 rebounds as San Diego dominated Pacifica, a NAIA Independent, 84-47 on Tuesday night.

Johnny Dee added 16 points, including 4 of 8 on 3-pointers, for San Diego (8-3). The Toreros shot 55.9 percent in the second half and held Pacifica to just 16 points after the intermission.

Dee had 10 points in the first 4:08 of the game as the Toreros stormed out to a 14-6 lead and were never threatened. Thirteen San Diego players scored at least two points in the contest.

Pacifica was just 6 of 30 in the second half (20 percent) after making 17 buckets in the first. Jon Garnica led the Gladiators with 15 points and AJ Hecox added 10.

San Diego will host UC Santa Barbara on Sunday. The Gauchos defeated Cal last Friday, 72-65.
