A man was trapped in his pickup after it left the roadway and overturned in a ditch Wednesday morning in Hockinson. The crash was reported at 8:57 a.m. at 17705 N.E. 119th St.

Responding firefighters with District 3 had to tear off the door to get the driver out of the truck, said Chief Steve Wrightson. The man, whose name was not released, had a shoulder injury but was otherwise OK.

Wrightson said the roadways were extremely icy Wednesday morning. “It was even difficult to walk on the road surface,” he said.
